Since this is the first February contest, I think it is only right that the theme for it should be first Valentine's Day.



Suggested Theme:



A room decorated for celebration of a first Valentine's Day together.



Suggested Elements:

• One or more love letters or Valentine's Day cards

Two winners will be selected. One in traditional real media,and one in digital media.



Winners will be displayed on the front page of the site throughout February 2012.

I got a bit behind on things, so I was not able to update this site for a while. I'm back into working on stuff for it now, however, and want to present my 2012 challenge series. One a month throughout 2012.



To start off I am going to put in a request for the morning after New Year's designs for 2012.



I am also opening this to a new form of dollhouse design, 3D dollhouses. Using programs such as Daz3D, Blender, or Poser to create three dimensional dollhouses in the digital world.



So, the rules for this month are to use the following items in making a dollhouse room, either in a traditional dollhouse, a room box, or a 3D dollhouse.

Post entries, both traditional and digital media, to this thread, I will select the one that I like the best and display it throughout February as the winner for the January challenge. Normally I would display it throughout January, but I am running late on this. I still want to have a January contest though, so will run dual contests through the end of this month, with January's winners displayed alongside February's winners.



With two very different mediums accepted, there will now be be two category winners. Traditional room styles made in the real world and 3D digital rooms.



Winners will be displayed on the main site page for the month.

I have had to set aside working on my dollhouse for a very long time, which is fairly depressing to me. I have made it to the point where I can at least dedicate more time to this site, so while I might not yet have the space in my house to work on rebuilding my mom's old dollhouse, I will at least be looking at stuff for when I do have more time and sharing what I find and general stuff here.



Hopefully I will soon be able to get back to work on my dollhouse, or at least able to start work on some of the furniture and other interior decor for it.
