Will be setting up a dollhouse workspace
Later tonight I am going to be working on setting up an area where I can work on the dollhouses that I have to rebuild. I have been wanting so badly to get to work on rebuilding a dollhouse and I want to get started with one of them finally. It might be a few days before I can actually start in on the dollhouse, but at least I will have myself somewhere that I can work on building the dollhouses and having somewhere to work where the pieces I am working with will not be misplaced is a major consideration in getting ready to work on the dollhouses.
I have been making things for dollhouses for many years now, building furniture and accessories for my mom’s dollhouses and for my nieces to put in their dollhouses, but now I want to start working on building things for my own little dollhouses that I want to decorate according to my styles and dreams. So I am going to be taking the old houses that I have been collecting and start in on restoring them.
Something else I have made for years is one of a kind dolls from polymer clay, so I will be creating my own 1/12th scale figures to populate my little dollhouse worlds. That is a great skill to develop, since it opens your dollhouse decorating options up to the limits of your imagination rather than limiting you to what kinds of dolls you can find that someone else has built.
I’m very eager to get started on the dollhouses, so I will stop working on the site for a little while and go work on getting my dollhouse work area built in my bedroom. There is a free section of desk in there that should work perfectly for this with a little more clearing to enlarge the free section of it.
